Oklahoma has not enacted a separate state debt collection law. Oklahoma law does provide limitations on when and how creditors, debt collectors, and others may use automatic-dialing systems. It is not clear, however, that the Oklahoma courts would allow a private lawsuit to enforce these rules. Thus, Oklahoma residents faced with abusive or harassing collection tactics will receive the most protection and benefit from the FDCPA.
